Renew license plates online in Missouri?

I was starting to dread going to the Driver’s Licence office to get my plates renewed, but the forms in the mail said you can do it on-line, for 3% additional fee.  That’s one fee I’m happy to pay.. https://dors.mo.gov/dmv/more/index.html   Simpler life is good; there is enough to do each day

We’re moved!

A special thanks to Trent, Aaron, Bob, Eric, Joe A, Mike, Joe V, Alice for all their help getting all our stuff moved to the new place.  It was quite the experience – between down-bursts of rain, to getting the truck up the driveway at the new place.  Oh and a piano that had a fit moving.. 

 We're still getting used to the new digs, I'm sleep deprived trying to get everything going..   The biggest problem I've had is with not having internet connection.  Charter hasn't steped up to the plate to fix the problem – so far my experience with them has been less than stellar, but it's all that is available here.

 Thanks again to all that helped, it was VERY much appreciated!

Moving update

We took possesion of the house yesterday, and started painting.  Of course, we discovered the AC unit upstairs is not doing it's job.  No wonder the seller was offering a home protection warrenty. 

We're moving on Sat; it looks like we will have enough help. 

Thanks to everyone who is pitching in; we'll be having some thank you get togethers aftwards.

Windows Live Academic Search

Microsoft announced Tuesday the beta release of a its new Windows Live Academic Search, a research tool that combines advanced search techniques with the resources of leading content providers to help researchers, students, and faculty conduct literature searches across a range of academic and scholarly publications. This first release will feature computer science, electrical engineering, and physics content from the ACM, IEEE, and selected publishers including Reed Elsevier and Wiley & Sons. The program is a collaborative effort of Microsoft, CrossRef ( a nonprofit dedicated to cross-publisher citation linking) and more than a dozen key publishers and societies.

We hired a sellers agent for our current house

We signed the paperwork tonight for a sellers agent that a coworker recommended.  She, Angela Bosch, seems like the right person for the job.  She sold my coworker's house in a week, we'll see if that record stands

Storm hits Ballwin..

We were outside working on the house, and I heard something in the distance.  After listening for 30 seconds, I finally figured out a Heck of a storm was rolling in.  It literally sounded like several jet engines were headed our way.  We headed inside for cover, but I watched as a ~70 mile an hour wind rolled though with rain.  Large trees were twisting over like a giant had just sat on them. 

 In the aftermath, we went out to check on damage, and we fared pretty well.  Only a section of fence fell over.    I uploaded some photos of what we saw.
