Ok, this is too cool. It’s a memory card that also will use your local router to upload the photos to a photo site or your computer. If they had a compactFlash version I would buy one.

Finally, Gmail supports IMAP!
Posted by presson on October 30, 2007
When Google first launched gmail, I grabbed an address to use as my (hopefully) permanent email address. I grew tired of obtaining a new address every time my ISP changed and then blasting this address to everyone I knew. Since I access my email from home, work and my mobile phone, I was stuck with having to put up with marking emails as read multiple times.
This week Google is adding IMAP support for all gmail accounts (my account still is not enabled.) This will allow you to mark an email read from any client and it will be marked that way no matter what method you use to access your email. More on this at :

"The Simpsons" scenes and References
Posted by presson on October 18, 2007
Back when I was still in college every Sunday I would get together with my closest friends to watch the Simpsons. It was a potluck affair that helped remove the sting of working full time while going to school. I stopped watching it many years ago, but I ran across a website that shows scenes from the Simpsons Movie and the movies they were borrowed from. Although I really liked the movie, I enjoyed it even more after visiting this site: http://www.joeydevilla.com/2007/09/22/simpsons-scenes-and-their-reference-movies/

Interesting Twist on Technology..
Posted by presson on October 8, 2007
How many times has new technology had some unpleasant side effects? Case and point: automobiles. They transformed our society and enabled freedom of movement to the masses, but at a cost to our environment, and it is the leading cause of injury-related deaths.
Hybrid technology is a vast improvement in efficiency, and has less noise-pollution. The problem is people are getting injured since they don’t hear them coming. This is especially true for the blind. Read more: http://groovygreen.com/groove/?p=1962

Selling Things in eBay
Posted by presson on October 7, 2007
I don’t use eBay very much: it seems unless you are buying something inexpensive it’s doesn’t save you a lot of money. Anything expensive you have to do a lot of background checks on the seller to be sure they are legit and are selling products that are backed by warranty by the manufacture. I have a lot of junk; and I have been wanting to either sell it on craigslist, or perhaps eBay. I ran across an interesting article on selling your stuff on eBay that if you are like me, you might actually take the plunge: http://lifehacker.com/software/hack-attack/a-sellers-guide-to-craigslist-305845.php

Internet – the TV killer?
Posted by presson on October 5, 2007
In the not so distant future, the Internet pipe will have enough bandwidth to become the primary source of not only searchable information, but also content that never before was possible. Microsoft is turning up the volume on their Media Center – launching 100 steaming channels of content at your leisure to watch. I am a fan of some obscure shows, and the DVR enabled me to time-shift them. With the Internet as the source, you can watch anything on demand. You won’t have to wait for the show’s time slot anymore. Eventually this instantaneous method of content will become the primary watched content provider. As an example, a new television portal, Joost. Check it out.. http://www.joost.com/download/
